Still reeling from the deaths of his wife and son at the hands of a drunk driver, Wyatt Blaine is searching for a reason to go on. Unable to find closure, he turns to one of his late wife Krista's passions, an equine therapy program for troubled teens at the family ranch. With the help of his minister and the support of the local community, Wyatt re-starts the program and begins to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

But just as the program is about to start, Gabby Powers, the widow of the man responsible for the death of Wyatt's family, begs his permission to include her son Trevor in the program. Over time, Trevor begins to respond, as Wyatt and Gabby find surprising new aspects to their already complex relationship. As these three troubled souls who were once separated by a common tragedy near mutual closure, they find that they must examine the true natures of love and forgiveness in ways that they had never imagined.

After graduating from Colgate University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Art History, Robert J. Barclay enjoyed a successful career in business, also serving as chairman of his industry-related consulting group. After selling his business and moving from upstate New York to Florida, (and with some rather successful prodding by his wife), he was able to finally devote his full attention to something he had always wanted to do - write a book. Rob lives in sunny south Florida. When he isn't writing, he enjoys weightlifting, Shotokan Karate, and going to the beach to do absolutely nothing.
