Mr. Gray often amused himself in making compilations from works of eminence in different departments of literature, from travels, from antiquities, and, in general, from all subjects which are covered by the indefinite, yet not inexpressive, term of Belles Leitres. He has left short but curious notices of all the cathedrals of England, with his accustomed ability and interesting manner.
