I take pleasure in acknowledging my indebtedness to Mr. Richard Milton Cary, Deputy Clerk of the Richmond Circuit Court, as well as to Mr. Philip Mayo, Clerk of the United States Circuit Court held in this city, for the kind aid they have rendered me, in fur nishing copies of Pleadings and Decrees in their respective Courts, which have been used as the basis of many of the Forms contained in this volume.
