It provides terminology and guidelines for nursing assessment and appropriate intervention. It also explains the importance of the therapeutic process and preparing the client for self-care. There are behavioural objectives at the beginning of each chapter, and NCLEX-style review questions at the end of each chapter. End of unit exercises include case studies with discussion questions to encourage the development of critical thinking skills.
