Max Harris retired as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Humanities Council in 2004 and previously taught at the University of Virginia. The author of three other books on theatre and festival he served as president of the Medieval and Renaissance Drama Society from 2002 through 2005. Dr Harris is also an ordained Presbyterian minister.
