Celebrating Common Prayer is the Daily Office book for Anglicans, expandedwith much supplementary material for individual and group use. The originaledition has sold over 30,000 copies. This brand new edition incorporates all the new liturgical texts authorized by The Church of England, based on the new prayer and service book Common Worship. The book offers a pattern of daily prayer which meets many of the needs expressed by Christians from a wide variety of traditions. There is a simple structure for Morning and Evening Prayer, and the services can be led by lay people as effectively as clergy. As well as the texts, suggestions are made as to how the services might be celebrated in a wide range of circumstances, for example, using music of different styles and a visual focus. The services can also be adapted easily for people to use on their own, whether in hospital or on a commuter train.
