Membership dues should be remitted to Dr. W. S. Dennett, Treasurer, 501 West 116th Street, New York, N. Y., by draft or money order, drawn payable to the American Mathematical Society.

The meeting of December 28 will be the Annual Meeting of the Society for the election of officers.

Meetings of the Chicago Section will be held at Northwestern University, Evans
Papers intended for presentation at any meeting or sectional meeting of the ton, Illinois, on Saturday, April 14, and at the University of Chicago during the Christmas holidays.

Papers intended for presentation at any meeting or sectional meeting of the Society should be sent to the Secretary or Secretary of the Section in advance of the meeting for submission to the Programme Committee, and should be accompanied by an abstract, suitable for publication in the Bulletin, and a statement of the time required for presentation. Papers in form unsuitable for publication will be referred to on the programme as preliminary communications or reports.
