Maddie does not want to go to sleep. First she needs something to drink, to read a story...or three, and to check for monsters under the bed. When her parents finally say good night, she hears a noise: Quackers! Quackers!

Maureen Wright has written a number of popular picture books, including Grumpy Groundhog, illustrated by Amanda Haley; Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep! and Sneeze, Big Bear, Sneeze!, both illustrated by Will Hillenbrand; and Sneezy the Snowman, illustrated by Stephen Gilpin. Elisabeth Schlossberg grew up near Paris and started drawing when she was young. She studied art and first drew inspiration for picture books from her own children.
