Reseña del editor:
Augustine's Confessions is both a Christian classic and a literary masterpiece. But it has never been as accessible?or relevant?to young adult readers than it is, now. The Confessions chronicles the youthful adventures and inner spiritual turmoil of one of the greatest and most influential theologians in the history of the Christian church. From musings on the trust he held for his mother at birth, sexual liaisons with various women as a teenager, an infamous episode of feeling guilt-ridden after stealing from a neighbor, to his ultimate and dramatic conversion at age thirty-three, Augustine bears his heart in these pages. Now, for the first time, the first eight books of the Confessions are gathered here in a modern-day translation, with an introduction and over seventy annotations to aid young adults in approaching this spiritual classic for the first time.
