Reseña del editor:
Antiquarian Grose (1730-91) first published his dictionary in 1785, defining the fashionable words and favorite expressions of his time, some of which endure today and some of which have retired from common use but still lurk in old books waiting to baffle modern readers. Lexicographer Partridge (1894-1979) edited the 1931 third edition, published by Scholartis Press, which is reproduced here. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
