Lorna Oakes lectures regularly at the British Museum and Birkbeck College, London University, and has led many lecture tours to Egypt and Syria. She has written a British Museum children's activity book, The Assyrians, and Teaching the Assyrians, a Historical Association booklet for teachers, at Key Stage 2 in the National Curriculum.
