Words of Life THE ART OF PRAYER - Softcover

As we continue the theme of prayer in Words of ?Life, this edition specifically looks a 'The Art of Prayer'. After first considering particular prayers in the bible, we become aware of prayers to the Almighty in Jeremiah and Lamentations, then in some of the minor prophets' writings. In the New Testament we reflect on Paul's prayers for the Ephesians and Thessalonians, before concluding with the inspiring Letter to the Hebrews. Our guest series for Advent is written by Retired General Paul Rader and Commissioner Kay Rader. Major Beverly Ivany holds a BA in English and a Bachelor of Music, as well as a Masters Degree in Theological Studies. She and her husband David have served in various appointments with The Salvation Army in their homeland, Canada. Beverly is the author of Kid Talk, Teen Talk and Mentorship. She is also an accomplished musician.
