Rose Innes was regarded by many as one of the best judges to have come out of South Africa. he died in january 1942. included with this book is a letter that he wrote to the previous owner of this book dated 26th December 1939. in it he encourages the young man in his ambition to enlist for the duration of the war. it is hand written on a letter head that is embossed 'kolara, gibson road kenilworth'the letter covers 2 sides. the jacket of this book is very poor indeed with big pieces missing and is held together with cellophane.the book has the recipient of the letters signature and address. there are age related marks and old tape residue marks. the binding is excellent.
