Zustand: Good. 1954. 230 pages. Grey pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and tanning. Clipped jacket has light edge wear with minor tears and chipping. Mild rubbing and marking. Tanning to spine and edges.

The pages are slightly 'browned' on the first and last pages. The condition of the book is given in terms of the book's age. The binding has been repaired. GK. Original photogravure issued as Plate XXIV in Alvin Langdon Coburn's *Men of Mark.* Portrait measures circa 6.75" x 9" with the photogravure tipped onto publisher's printed mount as issued which measures 9" x 12", and reproducing Barrie's signature in holograph facsimile in lower margin as issued. Portrait is in fine condition, mount is notched at spine where once bound else fine. The photogravure, in rich dark tones, shows the formally dressed J. M. Barrie directly facing the camera, dressed in dark suitcoat and tie, shown from the shoulders up, intensely staring at the camera.
