Publishing date stated to title page cut out. Previous owner's inscription states 1860. Contains black and white illustrations and plates. Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Water staining to text block edges with heavy markings to plates, rear endpaper, and pastedown. Pages are noticeably tanned with some foxing. Pen inscription to front endpaper. Boards have heavy edge wear with corner bumping. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Fraying with loss to spine edges. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Severe water staining to spine and rear board with black markings overall. Book is bowed with a pronounced forward lean.
Zustand: As New. Like New condition. A near perfect copy that may have very minor cosmetic defects.
