This history emphasizes the role of motor cars designed Cecil Kimber, the man behind the M. G. Car Company.Barré Lyndon (1896-1972) was best known for being a screenwriter and playwright; however, during his early career he was a journalist specialising in motor-racing. He penned six works on the subject of motor racing, including 'The Luck of the Game Again', 'Circuit Dust' and 'Grand Prix'.Illustrated with a frontispiece in colour, as well as black and white photographs throughout.The first edition of this work.With a prize bookplate from Hillside School, Reigate Hill, addressed to J. I. de Courcy for History, July 1934.An excellent history of motor-racing. In the publisher's original full buckram binding. Externally very smart, with only the slightest bumping to the extremities and the tail of the spine. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, binding is generally firm, with a slight strain to the front hinge after the front endpaper. Pages have just the odd spot, with foredge a little spotted. Very Good Indeed. book.
