Hardback. Zustand: Good. Square 8vo. 6 inches. pp ii, 40. 4 full-page & 15 colour printed illustrations. No date [1881] Lucy Lane Clfford, better known as Mrs. W. K. Clifford was a children's writer, novelist, journalist and dramatist - the wife of the philosopher William Kingdon Clifford. A contemporary review (THe Times 1883) says: "Most charming. The pictures are very pretty and the children represented in them like real children as they are to be seen in nurseries. The excellent stories of L.C. display a delicate fancy, and will be read with pleasure, for their literary merit, by grown people as well as children." The illustration style is very similar to Kate Greenaway but with a sweetness of its own Neat name on front endpaper dated 1898. Sound near vg copy slight cracked at rear hing, withe edges and corners rubbed.

Zustand: new. Pages: 125 Language: Estonian. See tapeet on kõige kummalisemat kollast värvi! See paneb mind mõtlema kõikidele kollastele asjadele, mida olen kunagi näinud - mitte ilusatele nagu tulikad, vaid kulunud, jälkidele, roiskuvatele kollastele asjadele. - Charlotte Gilman Perkins "Kollane tapeet" Raamatusse on kogutud nelja 19. sajandi naiskirjaniku lühijutud. Charlotte Gilman Perkins paljastab ühes oma jutus psühhiaatrias kasutusel olnud valeravi mõju ning teises loos sotsiaalse ülekohtu mõju naiste vaimsele ja füüsilisele tervisele. Lucy Clifford analüüsib muinasjutulises võtmes üksikema väljapääsmatut olukorda. George Egertoni lühijutt, mis 19. sajandil mõjus eriti shokeerivalt, kujutab naise valikuvabaduse puudumist. Ning lõpuks Rebecca Harding Davise sotsiaalkriitiline jutt töölisklassi ebainimlikust elust. 9789916998205.
