In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding over paper covered boards. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, with minor soiling to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. With a minor faint spotting to the fore edge, affecting only the occasional leaf, otherwise the pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with six maps and sketches in text by the author, as well as thirty-two full page plates. Very Good Indeed. book.
