Contains the famous articel by Erich Fromm: Die Entwicklung des Christusdogmas. Also it contains by Georg Langer (Die jüdischen Gebetsriemen) an detailed articel about the jewish tefilin and similar objects in other cutures from an psychoanalytic viewpoint. He considers also cabbalistic explanations of the meaning of the tefilin and compairs them to psychoanalysis. Other authors are C. Müller-Braunschweig, Th. Reik, I.F. Grant Duff, Otto Marbach, A. J. Storfer. This special volume of the Imago is entirely dedicated to the study of religion. It appeared only three years after Freuds famous "Die Zukunft einer Illusion (1927)". Inside fresh, a very good copy.
