The Poetical Remains of Henry Kirke White, of Nottingham bound together with The Prose Remains of Henry Kirke White, of Nottingham Containing his Letters, Essays &c. &c. with an engraved portrait to frontispiece. Two volumes bound in one. With an 'inscription' by William Smyth, Esq, Professor of Modern History, Cambridge from a monumental tablet, also in Cambridge followed by Line by Lord Byron. Henry Kirke White (1785 - 1806) was an English poet, who died at a young age. His Remains were posthumously published with his letters and an account of his life. In a quarter calf binding with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, sound but with some wear to extremities and rubbing and slight marks to boards. Joints starting with slight evidence of past worming to joints and head of spine only with minor loss. Internally, generally firmly bound. Bright but with a slight tidemarks and foxing to frontispiece and other occasional spotting. Slight loss to title and front free endpaper. Good. book.

Marks to the boards also, and the joints are cracked. Internally, firmly bound. Pages have some foxing throughout, and some tidemarks to the first pages of both volumes. Good. book.
