In recognition of the 1946 film noir, based on the 1939 hardboiled crime novel by Raymond Chandler, directed by Howard Hawks, and starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, the MWA brochure, found here, bestows honorary memberships to Executive Producer Jack L. Warner and actors Bogart and Bacall, and features five short essays lionizing the film and the novel by Clayton Rawson, Ken Crossen, Edward D.
