In a very good internal condition and with fine folding plates. ~ FIRST EDITION. Very rare. The elaborate review that Mijsberg made on the fort design of Von Schmid. His initial reaction first appeared in the periodical "De Militaire Spectator" but after Von Schmid has published his "Wachtforten voor de Stelling van Amsterdam" ('s-Gravenhage, 1897). In this ongoing discussion it is interesting to consider also Von Schmid's "Het afwerken der Amsterdamsche stelling" (Haarlem 1903) which includes illustrations of his designs. ~ Not in Jordan. 005-7.
