Kanten unten nur ganz minimal berieben. Fabelhaft illustriertes Buch über das Leben des Exzentrikers, Bonvivants und passionierte Reiters John Mytton (1796-1834), verfasst von Charles James Apperley unter dem Pseudonym Nimrod. Die prachtvollen Tafeln zeigen höchst dramatische Reisterszenen in der Natur mit wilden Sprüngen über Bäche und Zäune, nächtlichen Kutschenfahrten, Treibjagten, Stall- und Hofszenen, Mytton beim Wildentenschießen auf dem gefrorenen Teich, Aufruhr im Ballsaal und vieles mehr. Nur vereinzelt etwas stockfleckig (Vorsatz vorne stärker), Tafeln sauber und wohlerhalten, das feine Kolorit in besonders leuchtenden Farben. Der meisterhafte Einband des Buchbinders J.
