Final script for the 1969 film. Laid in is a studio still photograph with the classic image of Robert Redford and Paul Newman bursting into view in order to meet their adversaries-and their doom. A landmark of the New Hollywood Cinema, and arguably the high spot (as well as the beginning) of an incredible streak of inventive cinematic achievements directed by George Roy Hill in the late 1960s and 1970s that included "Slaughterhouse-Five" (1972), "The Sting" (1973), and "Slap Shot" (1977). Blue titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, stamped copy No. 176, dated July 15, 1968.
