Charles Piggott (d. 1794) ?issued, anonymously, the popular satire, The Jockey Club (1792) [.] which offered a scurrilous account of élite London society, with which he seems to have been well acquainted? (ODNB). It was a great success upon publication and reached a tenth edition within the year. This is a mixed set of all three parts (a supplementary volume, ?The Female Jockey Club?, was issued in 1794) comprising of the fifth edition of Part 1, the first edition of Part 2 and the second edition of Part 3, bound together in the year of publication.
