In stunning full Tree-Calf leather fine bindings, with gilt decorations to spines, red and black leather spine labels lettered in gilt with smaller numbered labels between. Speckled page edges. In very good conditions. Some rubbing to edges and ends of spines, some minor rubbing to corners. A couple of numbered labels missing on spines (2, 5 & 7.) Small bookplate to endpaper in vol.1, ?F.P.S.? Some darkening to frontis and title in vol.1, with neat glue repair. Some areas of mild foxing to pages, else overall inside pages all very clean and tight. Else a very nice set. 9 vols.: Illustrated with a B&W engraved frontis portrait of Shakespeare in vol.1.
