Wraps. Zustand: Fair. Printed wraps. 8pp. Frontis portrait of Daniel Webster. A short essay/eulogy on Daniel Webster and the influence of his name. The author recalls trying to fund a mission to England, presumably for raising awareness for prisoners' rights, where Daniel Webster offered to write letters on the author's behalf. Charles Spear was a Universalist minister, as well as an activist in favor of abolishing the death penalty and prisoner rights and prison reform. FAIR/GOOD condition. Wrappers very tenuously holding on to the piece. Heavy chipping, creasing and tearing along the extremities. Uneven toning and offsetting, with some soiling. Sabin 89068.
