Contains additional unpaginated chronological table and index pages at the rear. Books has been rebound. Includes a black and white frontispiece and a map to front. Noticeable cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Binding throughout remains firm. Pen and pencil inscriptions to front pastedown and endpaper. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with creased corners and foxing. Water staining to edges with markings throughout. Dust marks to some pages with creasing and tearing to edges. Text remains legible. Pronounced markings to endpapers and pastedowns. Boards have heavy edge wear with corner bumping. Large splits to spine joints. Loss to spine, edges, and corners. Leather peeling heavily overall with marks and scratches. Water staining to boards. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning.
