Laura Belinda Charlotte Jewry (married name Laura Valentine; 1814-1899), was a prolific English author primarily known for writing children's literature. She wrote under the pen names Mrs. S. Valentine and Aunt Louisa. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally smart, though a little bumped to the boards and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean, with the odd spot and handling mark. A couple of the paper guards have small closed tears.
