Coperta staccata. Un sedicesimo dell'introduzione è collazionato fuori posto. Born into a literary family, Procter (1825-64) was said by Dickens to have carried a book of poetry with her like a doll when she was a child. She began publishing anonymously at 18, and shortly after her death, her popularity was second only to Tennyson?s. Her ?Legends and Lyrics? series represents her best work. She is best remembered by many for her work to promote new employment opportunities for women. In this regard, she edited ?Victoria Regia,? an anthology of prose and verse that was typeset and printed entirely by women in 1861. 370 gr.
