A collection of twenty sermons, including: the love of God in the gift of His son, the reigns of sin and grace, the doom of the wicked, the deceitfulness of the heart, and the Christian walk. Written by Reverend Henry Martyn, an Anglican priest and missionary to the peoples of India and Persia. He translated the Bible into Hindoostani (now Urdu) and Persian and was instrumental in arranging its translation into Arabic. Bound by E. Skeeton, Southampton. Bound in full straight grained morocco with marbled endpapers. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and minor rubbing to the extremities. A few very small marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot and a few pencil annotations. Very Good Indeed. book.
