Leather. Zustand: Good. None (illustrator). A work published in the Daily Telegraph's 100 Best Novels series, containing three novels by William Makepeace Thackeray. Three works by William Makepeace Thackeray are bound into this volume published by the Daily Telegraph as part of their 100 best novels series. Originally serialised in Fraser's Magazine, The Lucky of Barry Lyndon is a picaresque novel loosely based on the life of the Anglo-Irish fortune-hunter Andrew Robinson Stoney. The unreliable narrator tells the story Barry Lyndon as he attempts to become a member of the English aristocracy, and the novel was later adapted into a film by Stanley Kubrick. The volume also contains the satirist's lesser known novellas Stubb's Calendar, and Barber Cox. Undated. Dated using JISC from estimates of the British Library. In a quarter leather binding over paper vellum boards. Externally, generally with wear light spotting to the paper boards, with some rubbing to the joints and extremities. Lightly rubbed to the spine, with a slither of leather missing from the head of the spine. The front hinge is starting, but firm. Aside from some light spotting to the endpapers, pages are bright and clean. Good. book.
